Description
In real systems, the best connector isn’t only the most exotic—it’s the one that fits correctly and locks in securely without stressing the cable or the device inlet. The CF-C15 NCF(R) was developed specifically for slim clearance installations where bulky IEC connectors can press against rear panels, collide with adjacent sockets, or force tight bends that compromise strain relief. Furutech highlights this model as particularly suitable for components where connector spacing and rear-panel clearance demand a low-profile solution.
NCF technology: anti-static + resonance control
At the heart of the CF-C15 NCF(R) is Furutech’s NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula)—a proprietary material designed to address two problems that often limit real-world performance: static charge and micro-resonance. The connector body incorporates NCF-enhanced damping materials (nano-ceramic and carbon-based elements) to help stabilize the connection and reduce the “mechanical haze” that can creep into high-resolution systems.
Rhodium-plated α (Alpha) pure copper conductors
For the electrical path, Furutech uses α (Alpha) pure copper conductors with rhodium plating—a combination aimed at high conductivity, strong contact integrity, and long-term stability. The metal parts are also processed with Furutech’s two-stage Alpha Process (cryogenic treatment and demagnetization) to optimize conductivity and structural integrity.
Slimline housing + secure cable management
The CF-C15 NCF(R) uses a hybrid NCF carbon fiber / stainless steel housing concept to support tonal balance and extension, while the stainless steel and silicone cable clamps provide a secure, distortion-free grip—important for both safety and sound. It supports cable diameters from 6.6mm to 16.0mm and up to 3.5 sq.mm (≈12AWG) conductor size, making it compatible with many high-end power cable builds.
Built with compliance in mind
Furutech notes the connector has been developed with attention to evolving safety requirements, and the product page lists relevant certifications (including KEMA-KEUR and UL).
